Friday 13th: strike of local public transport

We are providing some information to those who plan to use local public transport on Friday 13th.

The city transportation company GTT scheduled a strike that will affect bus, tram and metro lines throughout the day. In particular, buses and trams are not guaranteed to be operated and metro line 1 will likely be closed all day, except from 6:00 to 9:00 and from 12:00 to 15:00. The strike, however, does not regard train operators, and local and long distance trains should run as normal.

The station of Torino Porta Nuova is within walking distance from the venue of ICTCS’24.
The station of Torino Porta Susa can be reached from Torino Porta Nuova by frequent local trains (directions Milano, Ivrea).
The airport of Torino Caselle is reachable:

• with local trains from Torino Porta Susa, running half-hourly, last trains leaving at 20:25 and 21:25 (lines sfm4 and sfm7);
• with buses leaving from Torino Porta Nuova operated by Arriva;
• with buses leaving from the Vittorio Emanuele II bus terminal operated by flibco.
